Updating information systems requires careful checking of compatibility, role distribution, and recovery capabilities. Setting up document exchange between different environments is a separate task that requires a clear definition of the data composition. Experience with such integrations can be seen in recent agreements by IQusion.
In September 2026, news emerged of an IQusion agreement that includes the deployment of an EDM system for 30 workstations. In addition to the system itself, the setup includes a connection module for the Electronic Interaction System of Executive Authorities (SEV OV) and user training. In October, the company announced another agreement: a system for 250 users, which separately specifies one organisational license for the data exchange subsystem.
How to set up data exchange
Any integration begins with defining boundaries. It is necessary to clearly understand which specific documents are transferred, who has access to them, and how the system confirms their successful receipt. For a regulated environment, technical account rights should be checked immediately.
When setting up exchange, it is better not to transfer unnecessary details if they are not required for a specific process. The existence of an EDM implementation agreement itself does not confirm the system's security or certification. Such requirements are always established for a specific environment and verified through separate tests.
Initially, it is worth describing one document route and checking where it stops. This will help to understand whether the technical permissions are set up correctly and whether the data composition corresponds to the agreed purpose.
